Watercolor Sunsets With The Rosedale School

Week 3

Our third meet-up with The Rosedale artists was devoted to the medium of watercolor and the subject of a transitioning sky at dusk. Watercolor is the perfect medium to explore color blending. After a demonstration from staff on using water to create color gradients and horizontal, smooth brush strokes across the page, each student picked a picture of a sunset that they wanted to use as a reference.

We were so impressed with their color matching! Each student created a truly incredible abstract piece and mastered yet another medium.
