Wet-on-Wet & Spin Art with the Rosedale School

Week Two

This week the Rosedale School started with a wet-on-wet painting technique. The students used watercolor paper, ink, and watercolor paint for this exercise. First, students soaked their paper with water. After the paper was soaked, the students then layered ink and watercolor to create some abstract color rich paintings. As some students finished up their wet-on-wet paintings, other students headed to the pottery wheel to create some cool spin art! We taped watercolor paper to the wheel and the students were able to spin at their desired speed and start splattering ink and watercolor paint!
